Cost share is the portion of award costs not paid by Sponsor funds. Best practices for managing cost share is a core responsibility for research administrators. What costs can be applied to cost share? What forms do you need to fill out? Who approves cost share funding sources? What do you need to report? How much additional administrative burden is created by cost sharing? What costs are allowable as cost share and how should they be quantified and documented? Presenters from Grants & Contracts Accounting (GCA) and the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) will discuss pre-award and post-award considerations and requirements, institutional policy, and Uniform Guidance requirements regarding cost share. Participants are encouraged to bring their specific questions, issues and concerns.
