E3: Ethics, Education, and Engagement -Voluntary Consent: What it Really Means in Research
Thursday, June 17, 2026 - 1:00-2:30 PM Virtual
Voluntary consent is a cornerstone of ethical research—but what does it actually look like in practice? This E3 session will explore how power dynamics, incentives, and real-world study design can influence participant decision-making in ways that aren’t always obvious. Through interactive scenarios and discussion, panelists will unpack common challenges and share practical strategies to support truly voluntary participation.
