This is a REd Best Practice Network (live) class.

Electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) increase the productivity, efficiency and reproducibility of research. LabArchives is a multidisciplinary ELN provided as a free service to the University community by the Office of the Vice President for Research and administered by staff in the Marriott Library.

LabArchives safely organizes and manages research data, supports funding agency data management plan requirements, and works on multiple devices and platforms.

This presentation includes a general overview of ELNs and will describe when and how to introduce LabArchives to your research group, how to set up the notebook, and how to share data with collaborators. A variety of features, widgets and functionality in LabArchives will be discussed.

REd Best Practice Networks are 1 hour in length with a 15-minute presentation and a 45-minute discussion that are led by subject matter experts. They will be developed based on (1) requests from participants and (2) needs from units on campus. Participants are expected to come prepared with any questions that they may have and to engage in a conversation with the facilitator and their peers.
