REd Instruction

1. Go to Research Education website

2. Click on "MENU" on the top right of the page

3. Under "RED CLASSES" in MENU, there are a few different ways to search the class(es) that you are interested
   • Certificate of Achievement: instruction and required classes lists
   • Calendar: upcoming live class(es)
   • All REd Classes: REd entire curriculum

4. Once you are in one of above 4 pages, click on the title of the class which you are interested. You will see a new page with that class's description, instructor's information and if that class is offered in person, online or both.

5. Click on the link after "live class", you will be directed to Canvas Catalog listing for this class

   • 

6. If this class has been scheduled, there will be a date after the class title. If this class has not been scheduled, you can sign up for the TBA session. You will receive a notification from REd as soon as a live session has been scheduled.

   • 

7. Click on the session you are interested in attending

8. Click on "Enroll"
   • If you are Univeristy of Utah Employee or Student, please sign in from here with your uNID and password
   • If you are not affiliated with University of Utah, please put your name and email below
   •                    
   • Click on "Enroll in Course"

   • 

9. You will be able to access the class through your Canvas Catalog dashboard or your Canvas dashboard
   • Canvas Catalog dashboard
     • Email confirmation
     • 
     • Go to Research Education Canvas Catalog and click on "Student Dashboard" under your name
     • 
   • Canvas dashboard
     • Go to https://cis.utah.edu/ 
     • Click on "Canvas Login" under either Employee or Student Portal
     • Click on the class you enrolled in
     •

   • Click on "Enroll in Course"

5. You will be able to access the class through your Canvas Catalog dashboard or your Canvas dashboard

     • Go to Research Education Canvas Catalog and click on "Student Dashboard" under your name
     • 
   • Canvas dashboard
     • Go to https://cis.utah.edu/ 
     • Click on "Canvas Login" under either Employee or Student Portal
     • 
     • Click on the class you enrolled in
     • 

If you can no longer attend a live class or would no longer like to be enrolled in an online class, please follow below steps to drop the class from your Student Dashboard on Catalog.

Here are the two ways that you can access Research Education Canvas Catalog:

1. You can directly go to Research Education Canvas Catalog

OR

1. Go to Research Education website

2. Click on "MENU" on the top right of the page

3. Open "RED CLASSES" and then click on "CLASSES  BY TITLE"

4. Click "CLICK HERE" to enter Canvas Catalog

After you enter Research Education Canvas Catalog, please follow below steps to drop the class:

1. "Login" at the top right corner of the page

2. Login by using your uNID and password, then you should see your Canvas Catalog dashboard. If not, you can click on your name on the top right of the page and click on "Student Dashboard"

3. Find the class(es) that you want to drop and click on "" and select "Drop Course"

4. Click on the certificate dropdown that you are going to work on

   • 

5. Click on the certificate name in the description

6. Click on "Enroll"

   • Click on "Enroll in Course"

7. You will be able to access the class through your Canvas Catalog dashboard or your Canvas dashboard
