Earn your Research Mentoring Certificate in one of two ways: Cohort or Individual Classes.

Research Mentoring Certificate - Cohort


The Fall 2024 enrollment period is open.

The Cohort path to the Research Mentoring Certificate allows participants to earn the Certificate over the course of 6 weeks, with one self-paced asynchronous class and five in-person synchronous classes.

 


Registration cap: 32

Program Dates: Friday, September 13, 2024 - Friday, October 25, 2024

Length: 6 Weeks (1 self-paced asynchronous class, 5 in-person synchronous classes) 

Time Commitment: 10 - 15 hours

Location: Eccles Health Sciences Education Building (EHSEB)

Room Details: #2958 (Second floor)

The Eccles Health Sciences Education Building (EHSEB) is located directly south of the Eccles Health Sciences Library and directly east of the College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy. For those of you who are coming from a location outside of the health sciences campus, there is a Campus Shuttle stop just south of the EHSEB, visitor parking in the South Terrace, and various "A" Lots and metered parking available on the south end of the EHSEB and the College of Pharmacy. 

Parking Information:

Visitor Parking (paid): Lot 70, very limited spaces, south of EHSEB; Parking garage east of EHSEB

Student Parking look for signs: “U” lots; “A” lots after 3:00 pm

Learning Requirements: In order to earn the Certificate of Achievement, participants must:

    • complete pre- and post-certificate surveys
    • complete all the required pre-meeting work by the deadlines posted in Canvas
    • attend at least four of the five 90-minute class meetings

Class and learning materials are hosted through Canvas.

Research Mentoring Certificate - Individual


This path to earning the Research Mentoring Certificate involves completion of six individual classes. To earn the certificate, participants must complete pre- and post-certificate surveys, the asynchronous Introduction to Research Mentoring class, and attend all five 60-minute Zoom class meetings.
